A site is only finished on the day it launches. After that it needs updates, changes, security patching and somebody to ring when something goes wrong. We host and maintain what we build, and we take on sites other people built where they are in a state worth keeping.
The advantage of one supplier
The website, the domain, the mail and the network are usually tangled together, and a change to one breaks another. When the same people hold all of it, that is a job rather than an argument. This is the same reason this business covers the whole diagram instead of one box on it.
Questions we get asked
- Can you take over the site we already have?
- Usually. We look at what it is built on first, because some inherited sites carry problems that moving them will not fix.
- Will we be able to edit it ourselves?
- That is a decision to make up front, because it changes how the site is built. Some clients want full control, and others want to send us the change and get on with their day.
- What does a website cost?
- It depends entirely on size and what it has to do. Every job is quoted on its own, and there is no charge for the conversation.
