What comes in most often
- Machines that will not power on, or start and then stop
- Laptops that have become unusably slow
- Virus and malware removal, including the clean-up afterwards
- Screens, keyboards, batteries and charge ports
- Failing drives, and getting the data off before it is too late
- Windows and macOS that will not update, or updated and broke something
- Machines that overheat and shut themselves down
We come to you
Technicians attend in person across Melbourne's south-east, seven days, and a lot of jobs are finished on the spot at your kitchen table or your front counter. Where a repair needs a bench, we take it away and bring it back.
Anything that can be fixed over a remote connection is fixed that way, because it is faster for you and cheaper than a visit.
If the data matters, say so first
Tell us before we start if there is something on the machine you cannot lose. It changes the order we do things in. A drive that is physically failing gets one careful attempt at recovery rather than repeated attempts to boot it, and every attempt costs you a little more of the disk.
Questions we get asked
- Do you charge if you cannot fix it?
- No fix, no pay. If we cannot fix it you do not pay for the attempt. Every job is quoted on its own and the work carries a 14-day money-back guarantee as well.
- Can you get my photos off a dead laptop?
- Often yes, even when the machine itself is finished. Stop using it and call us. Continuing to power on a failing drive is the most common way data becomes unrecoverable.
- Do you fix Macs?
- Yes. Windows, macOS and Linux. We are not a Windows-only shop.
- Do I need to bring it somewhere?
- Not usually. We attend homes and small businesses, and we can take a machine away when a repair needs a bench.
